Creative Cloud forcefully re-taking ‘Open With’ for CC products
Hi,
We’re in the process of transitioning all the workstations here to CC gradually, but we still need to keep working in CS5.5 as not all machines are making the move immediately. The problem is that whenever I change the ‘Open With’ dialog (OSX 10.7.5) for .aep files back to CS5.5 (CC had taken control of them as expected when it installed) and click Change All, CC leaps in and immediately changes everything back to CC. While I personally don’t mind manually opening projects out of CS5.5 or dragging them to the Dock icon, we have freelancers who come in who won’t know that we still need to be working in CS5.5.
Has anyone found a workaround to get .aep files to stay to open with a legacy version of AE?

Dave, that is inappropriate.
Complain about our software all you like, but do not diminish the death and suffering of millions of people like that. That is wrong.
