  • Import TIF into afterFX, colors change

    Hi all,

I’ve been pulling my hair for quite some time on a weird issue.

So basically what I did was:
    -cut some footage on premiere
-copy pasta the edit in after effects,
    -corrected the colors,
    -exported individual frames as TIF,
-processed frames in lightroom with vsco presets,
    -export frames to TIF,
-then imported back all the processed frames in AfterFX as footage using “import multiple files”.

But now the processed frames look identical to the footage in the comp. There’s absolutely no difference in color. If I preview the files in windows explorer I can clearly see the difference between processed and unprocessed.

I tried messing with color spaces, selected the color profile of my monitor for the project, which did change colors, but I’m still not getting the same colors I have when previewing the frames in explorer.

Do the unprocessed/processed frames look different in Photoshop? Can you glean any other information from Photoshop (do the images have profiles embedded)?

What are the color profile settings for the footage items in After Effects?

Thanks for you help. I don’t have PS installed but I just starterd to re-render the files with srgb profile as color profile. It seems to work 🙂
