  Preserving Green Color in front of Chroma Screen

  I’m novice and this is my first post here.

  I would appreciate any advice.

  I did a horrible thing. The only thing you shouldn’t do in front of a green screen.

  I brought green into frame. I thought that since it’s technically surrounded by flesh colors and off-white in the mid-ground, I thought there might be some way.

  Is there any way on God’s green earth to preserve the green (via color changer, leave color, some sort of matte(?)–other than masking each blade of grass)

  Other than a reshoot?….

  I’d try to do the reverse: key out the grass as good as you can without touching the background. Since the background isn’t a uniform green, you might have to use masks to specify different keys to different regions of background. And after that: start choking and refining. I think i would use the color range-keyer…
