  How to achieve “paint-on” effect seen in commercial

  Looking for a down and dirty way to accomplish the random “paint-on” effect seen in this commercial.

  here is my advices:
  >draw a gradient picture in your Photoshop
  >import it in to AE together with the video
  >add a Gradient Wipe effect to the video and set the gradient as the layer.
