  Firewire adapter for Vari

  I have shoot coming up where client wants to record HD signal via firewire to his computer FCP.

  What is a good HD-SDI to Firewire adpator? I know AJA and Mirnada make them but thought I would check with you guys on which model is the right one.

  This will down-convert your signal to DV. It would be better to use the HPX900 since it has firewire out. Or the new AJA IoHD would do the trick.

  If you can bring a Tower then all you need is a Capture card from AJA or Black Magic but I’m pretty sure you would lose timecode this way.
