  shoot with HDX900, capture in FCP with 1400 deck, for 35mm

  A documentary that will end up in 35mm, and TV-version for Pal-countries as priority. Can I shoot in 1080p25 and capture in FCP 5.1.4, using the 1400 deck? The online people want to avoid interlaced video, of course. But to capture from camera tapes it’s confusing since FCP doesn’t have an option for capturing 1080p25, the option I get is 1080i50. When I read about what is progressive in 1080 they talk about 1080i, 25 frames based on 50. I understand that it’s a way of doing progressive in 1080, but I’m more interested in SETTINGS rather than theory. If I shoot in 1080p25 and capture in 1080i50 will I then be able to get 1080p25???

  Oh… part of the documentary has already been shoot with Sony HVR-Z1 1080i, 50 frames, HDV.
