  • Default scale for CS6 3D Camera Tracker?

Posted by Stephen Norrington on June 28, 2013 at 9:21 pm

Hi there, when the CS6 3D Camera Tracker computes a solve, is there a default scale in pixels that it uses?

In other words, if tracking two different shots (A and B), if the solve places shot A’s camera “N pixels above and to the right”, does it place shot B’s camera using the same scale? Can the pixel values used to represent the distances to shot A and shot B’s tracked layers be compared apples-to-apples? And if so, what is that scale? How does the tracker determine how many pixels to use for distance? Is it a default within the code or is it variable, derived on a per-shot basis and dependent on the content of the shot?
