First shoot with my new HMC150. I had seen podcasts and heard friends talk about using Adobe’s products to edit native AVCHD files.

Ok, great. Card in MacPro… copy over MTS files… Open Premiere CS5… import … aaaaaand. Nope.

    So for 1080p/24 … on a 2.8 8Core MacPro, 6.5 GB RAM, Mac os 10.5.8, FCP 6 or Premiere Pro CS5…
    now what?

I just want to FIRST get raw footage in, stamp a time code reader on it, and kick out a quick DVD.

ALWAYs worked in DV before. I’m brand new to AVCHD and HD in general. Clear explanations that speak directly to my question are much appreciated. Time is limited. (isn’t it always) Thanks!

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.
