  • DVX100B Audio Input 1 not working

Posted by Kimba Kat on August 12, 2009 at 5:36 pm

    I have a DVX100Bp

Whatever microphone I plug into Input 1..it does not work.
Microphones work fine when I plug into Input 2.

I noticed in the manual a “Phantom” microphone is discussed..but never defined. Is this my issue?

    thanks

Phantom power (also known as +48V) is required by certain kinds of microphones to function. These are generally wired condenser mics without batteries.

If phantom power is turned off on input 1 and your microphone requires it to function, that could be your problem.

Are ure sure your mic/cable are working?

If so, check the front of the camera to insure the mic/line switch is set to Mic and that your audio level knob is not in the complete counter-clockwise position.
