    Its that time again..

Can anyone spare the time to explain what are the best options available when buying a laptop to use with AE.

Space and portability are necessary so a tower is out the question.

So Mac or PC ? is here a particular advantage to one platform over the other. I use both in different work places and have always had a mac Laptop.

I like the mac OS but is really worth the extra cost ? Does it work out much more anyway.

How about the new windows OS .. Not sure I like the look of it but i haven’t tried it.

    And……

I would like to enjoy the new ray racing facility and work with High def images/ video.

What do I need to know.

    Thanks in advance..

Focus on RAM, fast disk(s) such as an SSD, and fast CPUs. Don’t fret about the GPU.

See this page for information about hardware for Premiere Pro. Photoshop, and After Effects: https://adobe.ly/pRYOuk

The new Alienware line looks pretty sweet- use an older MX 17 (over 2 years old) in deployed situations and it’s been pretty good to me.
