i shot a feature length doc that i plan on screening in a legit theater (with a humongous screen). it was shot on the dvx100a in 16:9 squeeze mode, in 24pA (edited in 23.98).
first off, what is my best option as far as getting the best quality once it’s blown up onto a big screen? just playing it off a miniDV tape? a DVD? digibeta? how about upconverting to hd? is that even possible? i’m totally new to this, so i have no clue.

and then…do i keep it anamorphic 16:9 for the screening or do i just make it 4:3 with letterbox? i’m sure that must depend on the theater, right?

    thanks for your help.

Really depends on what is available to you in terms of projector and decks, etc. An anamorphic 16:9 digibeta is going to be about as good as it gets.
