  • How to tell if footage was shot in 24p advanced?

Posted by Striperfly on February 11, 2006 at 8:11 pm

Is there any way to tell if footage was shot in 24p advanced? I have a tape that I think might have been switched out of 24p advanced by accident part of the way through. The capture keeps aborting due to a break in the VFR/pulldown cadence. Is there some indication I can get in the camera of the frame rate of a shot tape?
    Thanks,
    Tom

24pA has one interlaced frame every five frames. 24pN has more.

Also when you play the footage back you can toggle the “counter” button to display frame rate as you’re playing back the footage.

Thanks for the responses. It seems there was a problem with about 15 seconds of the footage- the rest was okay, and I don’t need that 15 secon clip.
