    I need some help.

I think I tried to eject the cassette on a low battery, and now the DVX is giving me an error message:

    AUTO OFF UNLOADING LOCK

The little red Cassette screen Icon has the circle/line through it and blinks, than the DVX shuts off after about a minute. There’s still a cassette in the unit.

    Any ideas?

I’m comfortable removing the DVX cassette tray cover and such, what I’m wondering is does the DVX have a manual eject the way most ENG/EFP camcorders do, by turning something inside the threading compartment?

    Thanks,

    Tim Scarpino.

That often means it’s time to send in for repair if the problem is not resolvable after replacing batteries, switching to VCR mode, etc. I would not recommend taking the cassette case apart- you would likely void your warranty if it did need further service.

Noah, thanks so much for your response and advice.

At this point, I changed batteries, hit the Reset button, and was able to get the tape.

I have not been able to work with my camera since then, but will tonight. If issues continue, I’ll contact my dealer.

    Thanks again.

    Tim
