  Pixelation

  I have two dvx 100a which i run through a switcher (edirol or Panasonic mx50) then through a svideo distribution amplipher and then into a sony dsr25 and record on minidv. Using this workflow, I get a pixelated picture. I have replaced the cables (which by the way I am using 100 and 200’cable) I have replaced the minidv recorder, I have replaced the switcher. The equipment I havent replaces is the svideo da. Could this be the problem? or is it the settings on the camera? By the way, when I record directly into the dvx100, the picture is exceptional. HELP

  Most likely the distrib amp is adding the noise since it’s clearly not on the camera. I’d suggest using a simpler signal path if you want a clean signal.

  Actually that makes lots of sense. I was feeding to signal to a dvd recorder and vhs, so you suggest that I feed the signal individually to each. By the way, there is no pixelation on either the dvd or the vhs.
