What settings to use when matchmoving 24P footage
I’m trying to make sure I use the correct settings to match-move some footage shot with the 24P standard mode on a DVX100 using BOUJOU. My understanding is that the 24P footage shot in standard mode is pulled down in the camera and output to 60i. However, if it uses a standard pull-down then I assume all of the fields are doubled, correct? In other words, I assume I would not need to track the footage as an interlaced file (even though it obviously IS interlaced technically) since the two fields would not have any additional info. Is this right? Also, do I tell Boujou my clip is timed at 24fps or 29.97 (since it obviously has been pulled down to run at 29.97).
Hope this makes sense and hope even more that one of you gurus can help me!
