    Hi!

We’re in a HD production that will be played on DVD, and thus we shoot in 1080i50 (PAL).

    Codex is Apple DVCPROHD 1080i50

The timeline in FCP says the sequence has upper field dominance. But when I export a short self-contained movie and runs it in VideoSpec, it tells me the file is lower field dominance??

DV/DVCAM has always been lower field. Since I must know what field is dominant, I wonder how I can be absolutely sure that the video file is either upper or lower (prior to encode to MPEG-2).

    All the best,

    Niklas
