Activity Forums Panasonic Cameras P2CMS database issue

P2CMS does not seem to recognise an exiting database.

Now I do not regularly use this to ingest content to FCP, preferring to make a hard copy of the “Contents” and “lastclip” files to an external drive and then ingesting data using “Log and capture” in FCP, but I did use P2 CMS when I first got my P2 system.

I have all the data file (and of course I now have the Quicktime files in the FCP ingest archive/scratch disc) but if my database is corrupted, is there another way to read them without the “last clip” file?

I am going to have a look to see if Adobe Premier can open the files natively…

    Thanks for any help.

You could try just creating a new database and then see if P2CMS will read the clips.
Basically I never used the ingest function anyway, Just read the cards or folder, select which clips you want and then export to a new folder.
Alternatively you could try P2 viewer plus
