  HPX 250 delay in switching to playback mode.

  Hey Folks,

  Quick question for you HPX-250 owners so I can decide if mine needs to go to the shop. Since the last firmware update I am having issues when trying to switch into Playback mode. If I load a card that has footage on it, and then power up the camera I can not access Playback mode. If I wait for about a minute I can then access playback mode and all is good. From there I can power down, power back up and still get into playback mode fine. It just seems like from the initial card load and power up, it takes about a minute with the camera powered up before I can access the cards for playback. Is this normal?

  Seems like a long time to access the cards. Mine powers up and goes into playback within 5-6 seconds.

  I definitely thin there is something going wrong with the camera. I’ll be sending it back to Panasonic for the once over.

  Update on this…

  Before sending to Panasonic I decided to reinstall the latest firmware update. I did this as it didn’t seem to be a hardware issue with the switch. After reinstalling the update all is fine with the camera. I can now switch to playback mode as soon as the card loads.
