  HPX-500 and P-2 into a Mac Book Pro

  I have a single P-2 card reader going into a Mac Book Pro through the two usual two USB connection system. Of course, one power and one signal. No problem, the new note book sees the files, shot 480×60, yes old school, but the new Final Cut 7 does not. Perhaps, I missed the blog on this, somewhere, and some other professionals who were trying to figure this out, but Final Cut 7, which I bought from B&H, last week, does not in the import menu, offer, P-2!. it’s not even in quick set-up. I’m told by the folks at the station, the older versions of Final Cut had this. As you can see I’m “old school”!. Really, I’m just trying to quick cut my stuff to FTP/email. If there is a quick patch, please advise. Shooting on HPX-500.

  Watch the tutorial above. That is how P2 works in FCP v6 and 7.

  If you can’t figure it out, hire someone who knows the workflow.
