I lookes through the threads and didnt’ find an answer I wanted.

I really don’t trust the on board monitor of the HVX200. I am really worried about the brightness.

I was looking at the manual and it was saying something about sending a signal to an external monitor and eyeballing it.

I don’t have a capture card, but can run FW to my MBP in FCP.

Are there any suggested setting for the brightness and contrast values on the on board LCD display.

I can’t afford and external monitor right now that is NTSC. I just hate not being able to trust shooting with this monitor.

I saw and article that says to bring up the color display in the Flip out LCD, but there are no further instruction on how to go about calibration.

In the menu you can adjust brightness/contrast/color of the LCD monitor on the camera.

With the contrast and brightness how do I then adjust
The bars on the display to get the correct contrast and color. I don’t want to “eyeball” it

There aren’t that many choices. You have to eyeball it.

The only alternative is to connect to an external monitor via Component.
