  No Option for Panasonic P2 In FCP Import

  Hi,

  Followed the P2 import into FCP video tutorial by Shane. All seemed fine, met the minimum system/software requirements, copied the P2 content and file onto a hard drive, but in FCP, there is no Import “Panasonic P2” optio. I must have missed something.

  I downloaded firmware for the 64gig E series card, but haven’t downloaded any software for FCP. Hopefully, I provided enough info to help me get the proper import option? The FCP import options displayed are:

  Files
  Folders
  Batch List…
  Cinema Tool…
  EDL…
  XML…

  If you are using FCP 7 (maybe FCP 6 also, my memory is shot) you need to look for Log and Transfer and not import P2.

  Using FCP 6 or 7? Then you need to watch the UPDATED tutorial…

  Fantastic! Log and Capture was the way to go and the video link was excellent. It is so exhilarating when things work, and more importantly when proper help is provided.
