    OK…so here’s my ignorant question.

I don’t know if this was an issue immediately with the camera or not, and I know the camera has noise issues. But…

I’ve recently noticed an AMAZING amount of noise that I don’t think i’ve seen before. Here’s the specs…

    Lens cap on.
Any one of the presets except Cine-V
Low gain. Either 0 or +6
    White balance at +5K

Noise goes away with tungsten color temps.
Noise goes away when I set gain to +12 (normal and expected noise at 12, but not the excessive stuff I’m seeing)

I haven’t had enough time to play with all the stuff in the camera yet, but is this normal? Do higher color temps add noise? Should higher color temps add noise?

I know there are ways to hack this, like taking down detail, crushing the blacks, etc. But is this normal for this camera, or do I need to send it back to Alex in NJ again.

    Thanks a million.
