    Dear All,

Need your info if P2HD camera can record SD Video with it’s internal recorder ?

Is the video clean or there is motion artifact ie interlacing problem introduced ?

Thank you for your share info.

    Best Regards

If you are refering HVX200 with an internal tape system:

Yes: The tape will record SD only and will do it very nicely.

Other P2 cameras with no tape system (including the HVX200) will record SD (DV or DVCPRO50) and will also do it very nicely.

    Hope this helps.

Tape is only DV25 so it has all the limitations of DV, doesn’t like reds or bright blues, there is interlaced issues inherent to DV and 4:1:1. If you are looking for progressive, it records 24pA and FCP will remove the pulldown and give you clean progressive.

But if you go to P2 and shoot DVCPro50 you will get much cleaner video. If is less compression and 4:2:2 color space. Twice the files size but worth it.
