  log and transfer setting

  Hi Shane,
  Just saw the excellent P2 import workflow for FCP 6.
  In the preferences (P2 PVC Intra) I noticed you had Pro Res 422 checked. I was under the impression that it should say DVCPro HD. Are there indeed more settings for the 170 P2’s output?

  The 170 does not offer avc intra.

  Ok. What is the default setting then for ingest? Does the data always import natively? This dropdown box is confusing as it does not indicate the 170.

  For the 170, no matter what dv mode you shoot (dv25, 50 or 100) it will always come in natively. It does not do it on a camera basis, but rather a format basis. DVCPro HD always comes in as DVCPro HD. With AVC-I you have a few more choices.
