    Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask if this spectacular motion graphics piece was done entirely in After Effects.

I was curious about how fluid and smooth the animation was…and if it was all done with masks. WOW…a great piece.

There’s a lot in there to say “that was done with masks”. But yes, it can all be done within AE. No other software required. Though in this case I’d say they did a lot of storyboarding before it was brought into AE.

I do not know for sure if it was done in AE, but AE can be used to create this kind of animations. Besides all the vector art (Illustrator can be used), straight forward animation and some 2.5d, I guess Puppet tool and Mesh Warp could be used to create fluid transitions and morphing shapes.
