  Panasonic HVX200A shooting PAL?

  I have a Panasonic HVX200A and am shooting footage for a client who just told me they would like it shot in PAL settings if possible. Is there a PAL setting on this camera or any other settings that need to be changed for it to be PAL compatible? Frame rate, I believe PAL has a lower frame rate than NTSC? It is being shot 16:9 so far.. I’ve used NTSC a lot but never PAL and any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!

  You would need the PAL Version.

  I see, so this camera cannot shoot PAL? and.. How hard is it to switch it in post? I did some tests using compressor and it seemed to render out passable PAL footage from NTSC.

  You would be better off if you can get a hold of a PAL camera. Less work in Post.

  You can use Compressor or use Nattress Converter ($99) to convert to PAL.

  Rent the HPX-500. Shoots NTSC and PAL.
