lenses for AG-HVX200P
Posted by Jessica Robbins on April 28, 2009 at 2:53 pmAre there any options to switch out lenses with the AG-HVX200P? I am looking to get a shallow DOF look like in the 50 questions project.

Anyone have recommendations?
Thanks,

April 28, 2009 at 3:49 pmThe HVX200 is a fixed lens. If you need to change lenses, you need to get a ‘depth of field adaptor’ from the likes of P+S Technik, Cinevate, Redrock, Letus, et al. Basically, these are devices that attach to the front of the HVX200 lens and allow you to put on more traditional 35mm still or cinema lenses.

April 29, 2009 at 12:20 pmi have two century optics lenses for sale for that camera. they are perfect condition and do not require a dof adapter. the adapters are a sloppy business overall, the letus ultimate is the only system that allows proper back focus adjustment and it starts at $4600 without any lenses. they also require power, and maintenance for achromats, ground glass, dust, etc.
my lenses are 82mm thread, lightly used, fit directly onto your camera.

April 29, 2009 at 9:16 pmYes, those are lens add ons, but they won’t necessarily reduce your depth of field quite like a DOF adapter will do with fixed focal length lenses.
