The HPX-300 claims a new high resolution color LCD viewfinder – any chance this VF would be usable on my HPX-500?

I love my ‘500 but my biggest challenge with this camera is pulling focus with the soft viewfinder.

The viewfinder isn’t removable, if I recall correctly. It is tied to the camera.

I hope someone will verify this, or debunk my statement.

The HPX300 and 500 EVF’s are removable. Though the EVF output on the 500 is SD b&w only, so you will get no benefit if the 300 EVF can be placed on the 500.

I suppose I was hoping the sharpness of the newer VF would help, but wasn’t considering the SD feed. Ah well, not like I’ve got the extra cash to spend even if it did work!

    Thanks for the replies.
