interlaced to progressive
is there any way to convert footage shot on an hvx at 1080i 24p so that it is actually progressive?

thank you for showing me how to change 1080i 24p from 29.97 to 23.976 interlaced.
can you show me how to change 1080i 24fps to a true 24P?

Once you remove the pulldown, you will have 24p material. There is no 24p interlaced. Hyper technically, it’s 24psf (as that’s how the image is scanned on recording) but for all intents and purposes it’s 24p.

it sounds like there is a way to convert the 29.97 1080i 24P to real 24P.
is that what you are telling me?
can you give me the baby steps to achieve this?
i understand the export compressor step. after that, i don’t know what to do.

should i still use the DVCPRO 1080i60 setting for the decompressor?
and this is a stupid question, but i can not find the encoder button. is there a place to click to make that appear? it isn’t even in the help menu.
