New To HD
Hi,
I have had a still photography business for sometime now and have within the last year started producing some local commercials. I want to start working with HD. I have Intermediate FCP skills but have yet to attempt anything HD. The first question is simply what All will I need to start creating HD projects? And I mean this on a basic level, I’m not looking to go super advanced just yet. Second, can anyone suggest any resources, tutorials etc. that are good for the HD beginner?

Nope, just here. I want to buy the HVX first thing. I used the dvx for some time.

Well good- in that case I’d suggest a fair amount of reading. 🙂 With the HVX200- right off the bat you’ll of course want the camera a couple of 16GB or 32GB P2 cards, tripod, lights and some audio gear. For specifics on the latter stuff, determine your accessories budget first. Figure you’ll spend around $10K on camera and cards to get started. Then you’ll of course want an editing system- laptop vs. desktop, PC vs. Mac- figure another 2-5K there. Plus you might want broadcast monitors for editing., etc.
