    Hi,

Can anyone help me with the process of getting .xmf files from my hard drive into final cut pro 6.0.3.

I shot a commercial, downloaded the media from the P2 cards to an external drive. Now I want to edit it and cannot get the media into final cut. I have all of the data including the text files, but final cut will not import it.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Using LOG AND TRANSFER? Following this method: P2 Workflow with FCP 6?

If so, do you have FXFactory installed? Either demo or full version. Version 1 and 2 interfered with P2 import. Version 2.0.1 fixes that. Remove it from the FXPlug folder, or uninstall, or update.

    Hi Andrew,
You could try something like Raylight, or MXF4Qt, both a purchase, if you want to use the MXF files without transcoding.
Either way, Log and transfer is free but it’s a transcode to PRO RES 422 (make sure your MAC can process and work with these files), or pay the money and work with the files directly through a “re-wrapping” process.
