HPX500-lens adaptors
I just ordered our new HPX500. (I wish I could order 2 before Panny Rebate ends)
So now I am boiling down the lens adaptors to the nuts and bolts. The Panny has a B4mount and I want to mount our Nikon and Cannon 35mm lens to it. What is the minimum and what is the best way to mount these 35mm lenses?
I have visited the Lettus and Redrock websites. I thing there are more adapters out there. Anybody out there with field experience on HPX500 adaptors / 35mm lenses.

Hi Nate, thought you might be interested to see this. 1/2 way into this movie this sweet redhead is showing a PS technic adapter on the HPX500. Anything that has a B4 mount as opposed to a clamp on to the existing lens would be a benefit. (click on the P2 HD Camcorder link on the left)

There ar e good number of 35mm adapter manufacturers on this same site. These clips were part of our P2 workflow demo on the NAB floor, but all of the clips were about our 3rd party partners.

Thanks Jan and Rennie, I have watched most of these video clips… The Redrock looks clumsy, the Lettus looks well engineered but their total system with Matte box is scheduled for ’09.
Zacuto seems to have put the pieces together nicely by building some parts themselves.
I have talked with a gal who has used the Lettus on her HVX200 and loves it. It would be great to hear from people who have used the 35 adapters on the HPX500 and the good, bad and ugly on how they worked in the field..
Now that I have ordered a damn nice machine to record light. I need to understand just how much fun I can have messing with that light (and at what price) before the HPX records it..
Messing with light,, isn’t that what video is all about…..
