I own a HVX200 from the US but I am currently working in a PAL territory. I have editing the scene file so that it shoots 25 fps but it’s only as a “Frame Rate” which is fine as long as I don’t need to record audio. Is there anyway of tricking the camera into shooting 25pn as a “rec format”?

The way that I’ve been doing also means that I still need to alter the files in Cinema Tools which isn’t a big deal but it’s not always convenient.

Nothing that wouldn’t void your warranty I’d suspect. I’d just shoot 24p and then do a 24 to 25 conversion in post. Because shooting at 25fps you’re still shooting an NTSC frame. And most people would agree audio is kinda important.

Most clients will just say, “We can hire somebody with a 25p camera and avoid post production headaches”
