  Capturing P2 to a g4

  Is there software that will allow me to capture p2 to a g4 laptop in the field. I have final cut studio 2 on my main editing computer ( quad g5 ) but I can’t put that on the g4. I was hoping to use the g4 laptop as a storage device in the field. I don’t want to buy fcpstudio 2 just for that purpose, I was hoping there was a free transfer software that was ppc.

  Try P2 Content Management Software.

  You can also just drag and drop but that doesn’t allow you to preview your footage.

  P2 works with FCP HD’

  You can also isntall on one tower and one laptop as long as you don’t run both simultaneously
