How to apply an animation preset in CS6?
Hi,
In cs5 it was possible to pick a preset in drop down menu but now in cs6 you need to open preset browser and pick the preset there. but when you do so all your key points in the layer – dissapears! how to apply preset and not lost existing key points?boris

You have to make sure that you’ve selected those keyframes when you save the animation preset. As a precaution (I’ve messed this up many times), I always test my animation presets as soon as I create them, to double check that the keyframes were indeed saved.
Presets should still be available from the drop down menu. I have AE CS6, and it works pretty much the same as CS5 and CS5.5.

i dont save the animation preset. i am using twitch fx and the only thing i need is to apply existing presets included into the effect. i dont have any drop down menu in cs6! why? can you please show me the screenshot?boris

Here is a screen shot.
You MUST place the presets folder you got with the Twitch download ( when you purchased )it in the After Effects presets folder.

I do not have this frop down menu in twitch fx as well as in any other effects. What should i do?Boris

Yes, its CS6. Did you check the AE Preset folder to see if the Twitch Presets folder is in there. You have to place it their yourself when you bought it. Did you? If not, do it 😀

Hi Tom,
The problem is that in any fx there is no drop down menu. And twitch is not the exception. See my screenshot. Do you know what to do? Where all presets should be located? May be it is not there? But i can see them in preset browser.
