just wondering the best mattebox setup for the HVX. I’ve seen the threads about the chrosziel vignetting problems. Is there one that does not cause these problems and would work with a movietube 35 mm adapter? Also, does anyone have any info about the 35mm adapters? which are the best and so on.

We own 3 chrosziel matteboxes and have this vignetting problem on all of them when filming wide on stock lens. But when filming with 35mm lenses with m2 or letus we get no such problems as the lens diameter and field of vision corrects this. I have to say the build on the chrosziel matteboxes are superior to anything you can buy in that price range. I think they just need to be seated a little better (closer) to the lens.

thanks for the info. I could tell from the pictures that the chrosziel was a better made item but am concerned because I have only the stock lense at this point. It what point does the vignetting disappear?

    Which mattebox are you using?

Is the ring / seal fitting correctly?
