  P2 Spanned

  Hello,
  I have two P2 cards with footage that spans from one card to the next. I copied both P2 cards to there own folders on my HD.
  I can only get one of them to open in the Log and Transfer window. The other in the log and transfer window simply does not show up. I can see the clip on the camera but not in the Log and Transfer window.

  As mentioned one clip spans from card A to card B is this going to be a problem? Not sure how to handle it.
  If these issues have already been addressed I apologize. Maybe some one can point me in the right direction.

  Did you copy over the lastclip.txt? This has the info that allows FCP to recognize the the data spans over both cards. You may also want to play the whole clip if FCP. The other clip will not show up. It adds the second half of the spanned clip to the first half automatically.

  Have both cards mounted….

  It was strange. The first time I tried to mount the cards (via the camera) only one card showed up. After shutting down the computer and the camera both disks showed up.
  Transfered them both over and it worked fine.
  Thanks for the responses and advice. I guess if all else fails shutdown and try again. Next time I will try that first instead of panicking.
