what’s the perfered or best setting for green screen ?

    720-24
    720-60 ?

    thanks so much (once again-ha)

I’d go 720p24pN Or 1080/24p. Test test test with the final workflow before you lock in a decision. More important than the camera settings are that the lighting of the screen is perfect and even- use a waveform monitor on set if you can.

    Defintely true progressive

Also get enough separation from Foreground to Background

    Here’s the settings I use:

    Video cam
    1080p30
    Detail level -7
V Detail level -7 (both helps minimize edge artifacts)
    Detail coring 0
Chroma level +2 (a bit more saturation helps the green channel)
    Gamma Low
    Knee Low
    Matrix Norm
    V Detail Freq Thin

I’m using a green screen from EEFX.com and it’s exposed at 50 IRE.

    For software I’m using Primatte.

Not sure the settings matter that much as long as your are not overlighting, or underlighting out your background. Chroma boosting can actualy help, but I would worry about your talent(s) first. Primatte is in my mind as well for best software keyer I have used if you can throw 700 bucks at it.

If you don’t have a scope (and your really should), you can use the zebra to make sure your screen is evenly lit. On a scope, I keep it around 50 IRE.
