Re: Final Cut settings for Panasonic HVX200 – TAPE
Hey guys. I just got a new HVX200 camera. I haven’t received the P2 cards yet, so I’m recording on tape too, and when I import the footage it is importing with these wierd scan lines. They are more prevelant when contrast is high, like white next to black, and when there is heavy movement, like waving a hand.
Is there something I am doing wrong? Could it be the DV camera i’m using to capture? (Sony Handycam)
I shot in 480i/24p on the HVX200 and tried capturing in FInal Cut using the DV NTSC 48 kHz and the DV NTSC 48 kHz Advanced Pulldown Removal, and my sequence settings are set for NTSC – DV. I would prefer not to use the deinterlace filet if it will make my footage lose quality. Please tell me you can help me out!
