Monitoring Progressive
Is there any way to get 720/30p to look good playing out of FCP thru firewire out to an NTSC monitor (with MY set-up?)
I monitor from FCP out to a DSR-11 thru Firewire, then out to a a 16×9 Broadcast NTSC monitor thru S-VideoDoes it look crappy on my external monitor because the footage is progressive, and I am trying to view it on an interlaced monitor?
I Shot 720/30p, dropped the ingested 59.94 clip onto a 29.97 timeline, looks great on the Prog. computer screen, crappy out to my NTSC monitor.
When it drops onto a 59.94 timeline I cant monitor externally at all. (but when dropped onto a 29.97 I CAN view it on an external monitor, albeit it looks jaggy & crappy) I realize maybe I dont have that kind of 59.94 playback, my system doesnt support it? Is there a card I can get that would solve this?
Or, am I missing something simple?
I need to eventually burn an SD DVD, AND make a hi-res quicktime for the web. Its a 30 second commercial spot.
Thank you in advance!
