I’ve been testing the HVX and P2 store using my MacBook Pro running 10.4.1 and FCP 5.1, shooting on 8gig cards. I can import files using the firewire connection with the HVX but the exact same files (did three separate tests) will not transfer using the P2 store. Downloaded the latest software from Panasonic (which says compatible with Intel Macs). Erased the P2 store and cards several times. I get the same error messge every time: corrupted files. Also, there is a light on the P2 store that I can’t find listed in the error light listing in the P2 manual. The E4 light on the top of the unit lights a solid orange, with no other error lights lit. Apparantly if this light was flashing it might mean an impact error, but it’s not flashing, just goes on, and stays on, sometimes.

Anyone have advice? Again: clips recorded come over just fine from HVX, just not from P2 store.

    Thanks

When you say “come over”, are you trying to use Drag & Drop in the Finder?

Try an offload product like P2 Genie or HD Log (www.imagineproducts.com). These will sense the P2 Store and copy the files for you automatically. I’d be interested in seeing how the HD Log demo performs for you (or if there’s a hardware failure lurking?)
