P2CMS – P2 Viewer for the Mac & Win now available
Posted by Barry Green on August 7, 2007 at 3:48 pmPanasonic’s just released the P2 Contents Management System software, which is a new version of P2 Viewer plus a database management system, as a free software download. And, get this — it works on the Mac! Finally!

August 7, 2007 at 7:10 pmBut I noticed that it will not work with QT 7.2. Has anyone tried it with 7.2? This looks really cool, but without 7.2 support it is worthless to me.
Help me Panasonic…

August 8, 2007 at 3:09 pmSide bonus, once you install this application you can drag and drop MXF audio and video directly into FCP. Try it. Very NICE. 🙂

August 8, 2007 at 4:15 pmYes, i know that it says that it WILL NOT work with 7.2, but I also know that some of the more daring folk here sometimes push that envelope and was wondering what would happen if it were installed on a machine with 7.2.
What exactly doesn’t work with 7.2?
Are there plans to make it work with 7.2?These are things that my inquiring mind wants to know.

Yes I have been using this method on the Quicktimes made with the FS-100 since version 3.01. You get spoiled fast. No more “log and import”. It really speeds up your workflow and overall productivity!

August 8, 2007 at 11:45 pmInstall the P2 CMS program first and it gives you an MXF importer component.
