Wondering if anyone had experience and could recommend a brand of PCMCIA to Firewire 400 or even better 800 adapters for the Panasonic P2 cards! This is for a new IMac.

The only ones I know of are the 5 card readers that Panasonic makes. The only options you have are the camera, P2 Store (where you offload cards…a hard drive), the 5 card reader…or a laptop with a PCMCIA adapter.

No cheap PCMCIA->firewire or PCMCIA->USB adapter will work, nor will one ever work.

You can get a PCI slot->PCMCIA slot adapter for a desktop for around $75 to $150 and those all work, but I don’t know if Mac drivers exist for those.
