  • Recording to a Hard Drive via PCMCIA Adapter

I know very little about the P2 cameras (or video production in general for that matter), so my question may seem stupid. However, is it possible to use a PCMCIA SATA adapter and an external hard drive to record rather than a P2 card? I know that I can use DV Rack and a laptop, but I would like a simpler solution.

    Thanks,
    Will

No, you cannot record in this manner.

Cineporter when released via p2 card slot

Firestore 100 via the FW port

    p2 cards

    DV Rack 2.0 HD

    Scopebox, etc on a Mac

    Some PC NLEs and FCP
