  • P2 to laptop to harddrive – no mountable file system error

I used about 20 cards – 3 have failed to mount.
Using a Macbook to copy the cards into – card.cdr – files, that I later mount, then import into FCP.
17 worked but 3 give a – disk images failed to mount – warning – with the reason being – no mountable file systems.

    is there a fix?
or do i need to bring to a disk recover service?

Just try copying the P2 cards into a new folder.
When you open P2 import in FCP you click on that new folder
and that will import into FCP.
And remember to power the card down after ejecting it.
It is the little icon in the upper right
next to your display and sound icons….
This was never fully documented and seems to
ne the cause of many P2 import problems.
