  Panasonic starts pilot production of 50GB BluRay

  I dread the thought of two years worth of hard drives gathering while I look forward to holographic media. Panasonic is starting pilot production on 50GB BluRay disc ans supposedly will provide samples to “the industry” for testing by the end of the month. They expect to highlight the replication process at the BluRay Disc Association’s booth at CES in January. Would love to see this out by Q3 2006 (one can dream can’t one?).
