    How do the two cameras compare in image quality? HDX400 has 1080/25 mode in Europe, with 700 lines horizontal resolution, 2/3″ progressive chips chips running at 50 Hz, 6.7:1 compression, min. 1/60 sec. shutter, F10 low light sensitivity, HD-SDI output, 54 dB S/N camera section, 12 bit prosessing.

    I realize that the larger camera will be better, but by how much? I think that the resolution will probably be similar, or about equal to Varicam’s.
