    Quick question,

Is there a way to keep photoshop layers intact when doing “save frame as photoshop layers”?

When I say “intact”, I mean layers that are cropped by being off screen a little.
Is there a way so the layer does not get exported cropped off and remains the full layer just positioned off screen a little? Also keeping text layers editable?

This is possible when going from Photoshop to After Effects but doesn’t seem like the other way around.

    Thanks for any help!

AE won’t render anything which is not under Comp Region i.e. it will not render any layer’s part which is cropped off.

    Also keeping text layers editable?

This isn’t possible AFAIK. AE renders the Current Frame(merging all layers and effects) of Composition as a PDF file. Since there is no option to save file with Layers, I don’t think its possible.

BTW what is the need of editing text again in Photoshop?

Also there is a script which will render each layer of a composition individually:

rd: Render Layers Compatibility After Effects

You can then combine the rendered PDFs in Photoshop later.
