  mixing audio for preview

  when rendering, some of my footage has audio attached to it and so After Effects pauses for a while with ‘mixing audio for preview’. I don’t actually need the audio for my render, how can I remove it from the video files?

  If you do not need the audio just un-check the audio (speaker box) on the layer in the Timeline panel

  You can also Mute Audio from Preview Panel for RAM preview.
