  • Can’t select plugin parameter in the Effects Control Panel

Hopefully I can describe this well enough that it makes sense.

It seems likely a system problem but is manifesting itself in AE and affecting CS4, CS5.5 and CS6.

For starters, I am running osX 10.6.8, 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon with 14 GB of ram.

The problem is that I am unable to select (highlight) individual plugin parameters in the Effects Control Panel (ie.- Position XY in Particular or Blurriness in Gaussian Blur). The stopwatch, sliders, parameter value and everything else are selectable and can be modified. I just can’t click and select the text for the parameter. I can select it in the timeline panel however, so I’m using that as a workaround for now.

I have tried trashing preferences, using a different mouse, connecting the mouse directly to the port on my tower (rather than keyboard port) and restarting my computer… all to no avail.

If anyone has a solution or idea, I would greatly appreciate your input.

    Thanks,

    Bob
